Spring 2000 class project

About the project

In the spring 2000 semester, a student worked with the Orchard Hill Neighborhood Association in completing an inventory of vacant lots in the neighborhood.  With approximately 25 percent of the neighborhoods’ lots vacant, it was important for residents to learn about the development potential of the area’s vacant lots and abandoned properties.  This project was sponsored under the auspices of UNO’s Community Outreach Partnership Center and the College of Public Affairs and Community Service.  Sara Woods, assistant dean for outreach and community service, supervised the project.
