In October 2000, the University of Nebraska at Omaha's Public Administration 8206 Community Organization and Social Change class began working with the Orchard Hill Neighborhood Association help develop strategies for a two-acre piece of land owned by Anderson Excavating and Wrecking located roughly at 42nd and Hamilton streets.

The class determined potential uses for the Anderson property. The reports cover land use issues of the property including:  eligibility to be recognized as a federal Brownfield site, what are the zoning issues related to the property and can construction or building take place on the property.
